Deborah A. Ogle



Mrs. Debbie Ogle, Director of Choral Activities at LaGrange College, conducts the LaGrange College Singers, the Chamber Singers, and the Women’s Chorale. She also teaches conducting Conducting and CORE Humanities at LaGrange College. Mrs. Ogle is the choral director at the First United Methodist Church in LaGrange where she conducts the Adult Choir.  

In addition, she is the founder and former conductor of the Young Singers of LaGrange, a professional children’s choir.  She is also the former conductor of the community chorus, the Lafayette Chorale and has conducted on both the secondary and college levels. Her choirs have performed throughout the United States and Europe and have been featured on several commercial recordings, including Anthem  and Upon the Face of the Waters, composed by LaGrange College’s resident composer, Lee Johnson.  

Most recently her Chamber Choir traveled to Italy singing at such venues as San Giovanni et Paolo in Venice, the Pisa Baptistry in Pisa, and at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome where they sang the afternoon Mass.  She is an active member of the professional organizations, the GMEA and the ACDA.  Mrs. Ogle earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Montevallo and her MM degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Alabama.  Mrs. Ogle and her husband, Randall Y. Ogle, live in LaGrange, and they have four children and one grandchild.
